Uses for Platelet Rich Fibrin
PRF Injections
The PRF process begins by drawing a small amount of the patient's blood, similar to a standard blood draw. The blood is then processed using a centrifuge to separate the platelets and growth factors from the rest of the blood components. The resulting platelet-rich fibrin is a golden-yellow substance that is rich in essential growth factors, cytokines, and other bioactive proteins.
This fibrin can be injected to stimulate cell turnover, collagen production, and creating new blood vessels. PRF injections can improve pigmentation as well as skin firmness, texture, and thickness.
PRF Hair Restoration
Once the PRF is prepared, it is applied to the targeted areas of the scalp where hair loss or thinning is a concern. The growth factors and bioactive proteins in PRF stimulate the hair follicles, encouraging hair growth, and improving the overall health and thickness of the existing hair.
PRF is often used in combination with other hair loss treatments, such as microneedling or hair transplant procedures, to optimize results and provide comprehensive hair restoration solutions.
